I normally would not eat truffles because they are too rich, but these just melt in you mouth. They are the best truffles I have ever had.

My daughter won a box of these Donchels truffles at Christmas in 2009 and the whole family fell in love. We now order these for ourselves and for gifts when the weather is cool enough to ship them without melting.

I have ordered Donchels cocoa dusted belgain truffles for Christmas three years in a row from Amazon. I had decided to skip the luxury this year when one of my rewards cards gave me a $25gift card for Amazon. Wow! just enough for three boxes of truffles. They have become tradition. I keep them in the freezer. They are so chocolate…I do not keep ice cream when I have them in the fridge.
One truffle has the chocolate satisfaction of a three scoop dish of the most decedant double chocolate fudge brownie ice cream. jm

I had a chance to try these chocolates while in Holland. I only bought a few because I wasn’t sure what they were (the sales person and I couldn’t communicate past a few English words). Well, I am home now and I want more. I finally found them here… at a decent price and just this kind instead of a mixed box(which I am sure would be fine, but I want these and only these!)

If you like almonds and hazelnut, buy them, they are better than anything I have had from Godiva and that is saying a lot!

For those who have never tasted a creamy hazelnut/almond/chocolate praline, you must try this! It’s Nutella times 100!! Keep in mind it is very rich and creamy. Leonidas also has a Gianduja Emballee which is pure hazelnut/chocolate paste, which is to die for! And for all those comments I see about Godiva comparisons, pah-lease…it’s apples and oranges. Americans do not know that there is better chocolate out there. People- take a journey beyond Godiva and you’ll never go back. Promise! :)

Wonderfully rich and decadent chocolates — Very High Quality, August 29, 2009

The Godiva kiosk closed in our local mall. I was very disappointed, because my family expects a selection of Godiva chocolates for Christmas, Easter and birthdays. However, they have their favorites, and unfortunately when ordering Godiva off-line, you have no choice but to purchase assortments over which the consumer has no input. They are selected and pre-packaged for you. So I was looking for other candy companies which might sell chocolates which approximated my family’s favorite items, without having to buy extra candies they might not like. Enter this wonderful collection by Leonidas of Hazelnut and Almond praline-filled milk chocolate confections.

These are fantastically excellent chocolates — just as good as, or better, than the Godiva signature oysters which my family loves. They arrived protected in styrofoam by overnight shipping. I will definitely be dealing with this seller again. I am very impressed and pleased by the chocolate and the high quality of the product. And the taste? Just heavenly.
